A thread to discuss those games you can't stand yet everyone seems to like.
For me it's Team Fortress 2! I Nega-Love this game, it's very user unfriendly. The weapons and classes are practically useless and I can't stand it.
-Some classes have little to no accuracy and a pain to use (Soldier, Heavy, Demoman)
-The engineer downright boring to use
-The Sniper requires you to be really accurate and it's really hard to use moving targets
-Some classes are outright weak or really hard to use (Medic, Scout, Spy)
-There are classes that require you to go close range and it's really hard to get up close to anyone without getting killed (Pyro, Scout, Spy)
I'll stick to Battlefield and Call of Duty thank you very much. You can call CoD over-rated all you want but TF2 is much much worse. I don't see why everyone hates CoD with the passion of a thousand suns but people praise this game as if it's the god the first person shooters! I know teamwork is a requirement but it's hard to get anybody to cooperate with you and that pretty much makes you a victim to many many kills. At least with CoD you have the knowledge that while you can help your team you'll also be able to hold your own. And if anyone tells me how bad the CoD fan base is let me tell you this. I've played TF2 tons of times and I've looked at a ton of websites and the the TF2 fan base is the exact same way.

Well, the skills from CoD can't be easily transfered to TF2 Each class has its own play style, none of which are like those found on CoD Basically, if you go from CoD to TF2, your gonna have a bad day But if you can get a hang of the classess different styles Also, TF2 is the World of Warcraft of online shooters... It eats everything that comes near it! That and its a Valve game... The games not broken, the years of testing they've put on it have made sure of that As for why people hate CoD... Its become so popular its become the entire mediums face to the masses, allow uneducated idiots attack the medium for being "inspiring gun crime" Its hordes of online 8 year old make the mike a detestible feature The "Pro" attitude of many of its years is idiotic As a narrative its kinda bland, its gameplay is so so, its run by assholes, its become pretty much copy paste design wise for ages Its angry, shouty, sweaty, hatefilled members have become the face of gamers, making the rest of us look bad ... I could go on, but there are a crap tonne of reasons people hate CoD Except CoD4... Even the most devout haters can't say anything against it. Its an utter masterpiece~ If you like CoD & Battlefield over TF2, thats utterly fine Just remember not everyone feels the same way there, and their view is as valid as yours. Just You have fun with CoD all you want & let others have theirs

Hmm... -Pikmin 1 -Super Mario Sunshine -Pokemon Diamond and Pearl -Okamiden -Sonic CD -Final Fantasy III -Final Fantasy VI (Don't Nega-Love, I just don't think it's all people make it out to be) -The Legend of Zelda series (except Minish Cap, Zelda 1, and, to an extent, Majora's Mask)
Also, gamingcanuck, you are first person I've ever met that doesn't like TF2 and had good arguments, even if I disagree.

Mario, to simple for my taste Dishonored, from my experience, first person and stealth dont mix well FF6, its a decent game, not perfect FF7, its not that bad, and its not that great, its okay at best, the story just did not make sense Any game that involves yuna, her voice actress is so bad as yuna, you can see right through the acting

Before my comments on your arguments, I will begin by stating that I respect your opinion, and that I don't mean these statements to be rude. 1. The learning curve. Every class is hard to learn (except a few, which aren't nearly hard to get the basics down, but sill hard, those being Soldier and Heavy) 2. One's definition of "fun" differs from another's. The Engineer, in my eyes, is the most fun to use. 3. Again, the learning curve. 4. Every class is hard to use, and while you say some are weak, that's because, for the most part, they really don't need to be tanks. Medic-Usually always healing an ally, therefore gets cover from said ally. Scout-Usually ether moving or capturing a point, and quite quickly I may add, so being weak balances it out. Spy-Stealth. Being a tank is not needed when you are sneaking around, killng unsuspecting foes. 5. Yet again, the learning curve. 6. I honestly don't find the TF2 fanbase as bad, from what I've seen, and I've played TF2 for nearly 1,000 hours.
